What to do when you bring your orchid home
You got a new orchid. Congratulations!
There are a few key things that you’ll want to keep in mind the moment you bring your new orchid home, so it has the best chance of thriving.
Choosing the right environment for your orchid will be key in keeping it blooming and happy as long as possible.
Once you’ve gently removed the sleeve from your orchid, you’ll want to place it somewhere that it receives some indirect light.
Want to keep your orchid outside? Your orchid will love it as long as it is in a shaded area, and the temperature outside does not go below 60F.
The final consideration is drafts. A strong draft, like that of an air conditioner, can dry out your orchid and cause the flowers to wilt early.
